AQUA PARKS AND THERMAL BATHS

Hungary is rich in freshwater resources; its thermal waters and special water habitats are unique and gained worldwide fame in Europe. There are numerous opportunities nearby to enjoy the benefits of thermal water or just have a fun day at the spa or beach.

Thermal Spa Harkány (approx. 50 mins from Pécs) is a world famous open-air and medicinal bath. In the medicinal baths the option of a fully covered, a half-covered, and an open pool await the guests. In the natural park from May to October, many alternatives are open to those interested: open-air pools, a swimming pool, a separate pool for children to paddle in and a water-chute are inviting the lovers of open-air bathing at the height of the season. The up-to-date bath complex also has a sauna, a massaging pool, and a cosmetic and massaging parlour.

Orfű Aquapark is located on the western side of Lake Orfű. The Aquapark awaits its guests with seven slides, a standard swimming pool, a large adventure pool, a hot tub, a children's pool, water games and numerous restaurants.

Thermal Spa Siklós is located in a unique natural and historical environment next to the Siklós Castle (approx. 1 hour from Pécs). In the 3-floored complex you can enjoy cold and hot water pools with unique experience elements, saunas (Finnish, steam, aroma, Russian), sports grounds, massage, restaurants and bars.

Thermal Spa of Szigetvár (approx. 45 mins from Pécs) is an extraordinary establishment, where 62°C temperature thermal water provides an unforgettable relaxation. The Spa has several complementary units, such as swimming pools in and outside, thermal spas, pools with different massage elements, recreation and health department, also they have Jacuzzi, Finnish and infra sauna and a steam bath.

Thermal Bath Magyarhertelend has eleven indoor and outdoor pools, seating pools with thermal water and wellness services for fun and relaxation. The facility has a large Sauna Park and their evening spas offer cozy activities every Friday and Saturday and lies approx. 1 hour away from Pécs. 

As a student of the University of Pécs you can use the indoor swimming pool at the Faculty of Sciences during the academic year, and the outdoor Pollack Swimming Pool (during summer time) for free.
