The Szentágothai Research Centre is the scientific excellence centre of our university, which is the base of medical-biological (neuroscience, endocrinology-immunology, cardiovascular and infectious diseases, clinical trials), natural sciences (physics, chemistry) and engineering-informatics (building energetics) research. It focuses on the infrastructure and research potential of the Southern Transdanubian Region, and has complex and close cooperation with academic and industrial partners.
Its professional community currently consists of more than 200 researchers from 21 research groups, whose primary goal is to achieve internationally recognized excellence in research, development, innovation, publication and education. The Research Centre provides a platform for the implementation of our University's highlighted projects. With state-of-the-art equipment and a high level of base knowledge, the Centre provides an excellent basis for becoming the leading research centre in Central Europe.
