Rectorial Election 2022

The Universitas Quinqueecclesiensis Foundation announced a tender for the post of Rector of the University of Pécs based on Sections 13 and 37 of Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education and Sections 64-67 of the Rules and Regulations of the University of Pécs.

Period of office: 1 July 2022 – 30 June 2026.

The higher management mandate is valid until the full completion of the specified period, until the age of seventy. The position can be filled no earlier than 1 July 2022.

Deadline for the evaluation of the application: 15 April 2022.

Debate of candidates

Two candidates submitted applications for the rector's position of the University of Pécs:

• Dr. Csongor Herke, professor, head of department at the Faculty of Law,
• Dr. Attila Miseta, professor and rector of the University of Pécs.

The senate meeting of the rectorial election will take place on 24 March 2022 at 2pm, and the candidates will present their programme plans and answer questions on 9 March 2022 at 4pm in the Romhányi György Aula of the Medical School (Pécs, Szigeti út 12).
