University of Pécs is among the highest rated universities!

Three months ago, University of Pécs has been nominated for the 2019 Global Student Satisfaction Awards, powered by Studyportals! Our students have been given the opportunity to evaluate their studies at the UP and to give prospective students an insight into one of the leading educational institutions in the heart of Europe

 

Now, three months later, we received great news!

The Inauguration of the Renewed Building of the University of Pécs, Serving International Purposes

The renewed building

One of the main aims of the development of the university taking place in the framework of the Modern Cities Programme is to increase the number of international students significantly. To be able to achieve this goal, it is essential to broaden the range of language and professional preparatory courses, winter/summer university programmes and courses designed for target groups from abroad of various length offered at the university, and to properly establish the infrastructure necessary for it.

The delegation of Metropolitan State University of Denver led by President Janine Davidson has paid an official visit at the University of Pecs between 1-2 April 2019. During the visit, the parties have signed a renewed MoU. It is envisaged that the already existing partnership will be extended to include further scientific disciplines.

International Spring 2019 - Australia & Asia Days

International Spring is organized for the third time at the University of Pécs in order to celebrate the diversity of the more than 4000 international students from all over the world. The programme starts with Australia Evening on 11th March and contunues with Asia Days, between 12th and 14th, at numerous cultural spots in Pécs.

Travel the world with our cookbook "50 Delicacies on Earth"

At the end of January, Pécs has become the center of the world through its colorful cuisine.

 

The cookbook project started way before, with all the organisation and recipe collection by Anikó Berta, the project lead manager. Our students had the task to pick out dishes which represent their country’s culture, history, heritage- a signature dish!

In the autumn term of 2018/19, the number of international students studying at the University of Pécs reached 4200.
