Design competition for students called the ZWSOFT CAD Competition

UP Engineering Ltd, ZWSOFT’s local reseller in Hungary, decided to donate ZW3D licenses to the PTE 3D Center on behalf of ZWSOFT in 2021. Within the framework of this cooperation, UP Engineering Ltd has provided us with a dozen of ZW3D education licenses for academic research.

Parent company ZWSOFT, developer of the ZW3D CAD/CAM design system, is now launching a design competition for students called the ZWSOFT CAD Competition. This competition is free and only for university or vocational school enrolled individual student worldwide.

ZWSOFT CAD Competition 2023 is a design contest where undergraduate students complete mechanical design within a 24-hour time limit.

The competition is open to solo competitors only, and all contestants must create their entries using the ZWSOFT software package.

It aims to enhance students’ CAD skills, especially 3D-modelling skills, and serve as a platform to connect students from different regions and facilitate communication.

Why is it worth entering?

• Free CAD design training is provided to all participants.
• All entrants will receive a 1-year student software licence for the ZWSOFT software package.
• The total prize money for the competition is USD 1500 and the top winners will be invited to ZWSOFT's headquarters in China.

About the competition:

Competitors must complete their entries independently within 24 hours and submit it via the 2023 ZWSOFT CAD Competition website.

Section A: Mechanical part 2D drawing (using ZWCAD 2024 MFG)

Section B: 3D modelling (using ZW3D 2024 Academic)

Competitors can choose to complete either Section A or B or both.
