UP welcomed its Stipendium Hungaricum Freshmen online

The University of Pécs is proud to have a growing number of Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship holder students. This academic year, we are delighted to have more than 1000 students from 63 partner countries. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic situation UP’s traditional Stipendium Hungaricum Welcome Event had to be organised online this fall.

Prof. Dr. Attila Miseta, rector of our university has greeted our new scholarship holders and asked for their compliance in health and safety regulations. The following speaker, Dr. István Tarrósy, Director of the International Centre has emphasized the importance of the Scholarship Programme for the university and has also introduced those available services, which have been developed specifically for our international students. Last, but not least, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Orsolya Pacsay has also sent her warm regards to all Stipendium Hungaricum freshmen studying in Hungary.
