London-based Quacquarelli Symonds released its latest university rankings on Wednesday. The University of Pécs was included on the list comparing the best higher education institutions in the world, ranking 701-750. In addition, in the category of international students, the first university of Hungary has been listed as the 225th university in the world!
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) experts have published The QS World University Rankings annually since 2004. Six simple metrics are used to effectively capture university performance:
When compiling the ranking, 2,462 higher education institutions were surveyed, of which 1,422 universities were ranked.
Dr. Attila Miseta rector said in connection with the latest international ranking: "The field of international higher education is constantly developing, as shown by the fact that 124 universities are included in this comparison for the first time. It is therefore not easy to get into the top 750, but UP succeeded, tied as the third best Hungarian university. There is room for improvement, but we also want to improve, for example in terms of infrastructure. A good example of this is that our dentistry students will probably start the next academic year in our brand new, ultra-modern building" - highlighted the rector.
