University of Pécs Medical Students have Won the Cup!

The team of the University of Pécs Medical School (UPMS) won first place at the 48th Medical Students’ Cup held in Szeged between 25-26 September. Congratulations!

The long-established Medical Students’ Cup has been held every year since 1972, the venues changed between the four medical schools every year – University of Debrecen, University of Pécs, University of Szeged and Semmelweis University (Budapest). The students compete in men's and women's handball, basketball, volleyball, water polo and men's indoor football against athletes from the partner universities over a weekend.

The competition was held on the last weekend of September in Szeged. Pécs medical students were the best in the city by the river Tisza; the team of UPMS came home with the first place award in the overall university ranking.
