His Excellency Park Chul-min was received by Rector Adrián Fábián. At the meeting, the parties reviewed the partnerships established and continuously expanding in recent years between the University of Pécs (PTE) and Korean higher education institutions. PTE currently collaborates with eight Korean universities through, among other things, student and staff mobility programmes, joint scientific and professional initiatives, and conferences.
Cultural cooperation is also an important part of the relationship between the two countries: in recent years, PTE has organised numerous Korea Days, film days, concerts, exhibitions, and other programmes showcasing Korean culture. The university currently has 90 Korean students, the majority of whom are studying medicine.
The discussion also touched upon how to further strengthen existing partnerships, develop new areas of cooperation, and create even more opportunities for students, lecturers, and researchers.
