The University of Pécs is pleased to host a 4-day International Student Recruitment Masterclass from 8 to 12 June 2026, designed for professionals working in international admissions, recruitment, and marketing within higher education.

This intensive programme brings together experienced practitioners from leading European and international institutions to explore some of the most pressing challenges in global student recruitment today — from representing institutions authentically abroad, to building ethical and effective agent frameworks, to ensuring that hard-earned leads do not quietly disappear from the funnel.

Rather than a traditional conference format, the masterclass is built around long-form, interactive workshops. Sessions emphasise discussion, teamwork, practical exercises, and shared reflection, allowing participants to actively apply ideas to their own institutional contexts.

Workshop highlights include:

  • Strategic institutional representation abroad, including event selection, pitching, and professional presence, led by Ango Paul Mwakisu (NYU Abu Dhabi)

  • Working with education agents, focusing on quality frameworks, governance, and sustainable partnerships, led by Ilaria Bossi (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore)

  • Lead management and enrolment funnels, addressing the “messy middle” between inquiry and application, led by Denise Nijhuis (University College Roosevelt)

The masterclass is intentionally limited to 30 participants to ensure a high level of interaction and meaningful peer exchange.
