This May marks an important milestone for the PTE Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Education and Regional Development (KPVK) and the Shoot4Earth international film competition. A press conference was held on 25 April at the PTE KPVK campus in Szekszárd. The participants of the press conference were Prof. Dr. Gábor Szécsi, Dean of the KPVK, and producer Gábor Kindl, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Shoot for Earth" Foundation, who presented certificates to the young filmmakers and professional partners involved in the programme.

At the press conference, it was said that the global film competition has achieved extraordinary results over the past two years in building bridges between art and environmental thinking. Talented filmmakers from around the world used their mobile phones to make films that demonstrated outstanding creativity and powerful messages embedded in visual stories.

The competition uses the power of art to inspire action and lead towards a more sustainable future by emphasising the importance of environmental thinking.

The stories are mostly about the value of water, the consequences of human impacts and the relationship between nature and man.

According to the decision of the organisers, 10 of the competition's top films will be screened at the Cell Phone Cinema Showcase in Cannes on 19 May 2025.

These works not only herald innovation in filmmaking, but also highlight the role of artificial intelligence in modern video production. Together, mobile phones and AI technologies are creating new perspectives, giving everyone the opportunity to tell their story through creative means.
