UP is 3rd in national comparison

In one year, the University of Pécs has improved 137 places in the field of social sciences, according to the recently published international university rankings compiled by the Round University Rankings (RUR). UP is ranked first among Hungarian universities in this field.

Every year since 2010, RUR has ranked the world's more than 1000 leading universities in 4 areas: education, research, financial sustainability, international indicators, and other 20 indicators. The University of Pécs achieved a very high score in the area of education, which has a 40% weighting among the areas surveyed, thereby earning the so-called Golden League classification.

In the newly published thematic rankings, higher education institutions are ranked according to 6 scientific fields.
The University of Pécs is

ranked 1st in Hungary and 318th internationally in the field of social sciences

the institution has improved its ranking by 137 places compared to last year.

In the field of life sciences, our institution was ranked 527th last year and 415th this year, so it can claim the prestigious 3rd place among Hungarian universities, even in the field of natural sciences, where it has improved 102 places from 465th last year to 357th.
The University of Pécs has moved up from 441st last year to 326th in humanities, up 115 places from its previous ranking, and is now ranked 4th among Hungarian universities, even in medicine, where it has improved 78 places.
Although UP has improved by 175 places in the ranking of technical sciences compared to last year, it still only managed to achieve 8th place among Hungarian higher education institutions.

The University of Pécs is ranked 377th internationally and 3rd in Hungary in the overall ranking of RUR.
