PTE Remains Among the World’s Leading Universities According to Ranking

The University of Pécs has been, once again, included in one of the most most renowned university rankings: the 2027 QS World University Ranking placed PTE in the 791-800 range globally. Making it the 5th best institution of higher education in Hungary.

The British firms, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published its world rankings for the 23rd time this year, evaluating more than 1500 institutions of over a 100 countries. One of the standout aspects of the latest results is sustainability: in this category, PTE moved up 22 spots. This reflects the university’s growing social and environmental engagement. Up also performs well above the global avarage in two areas. First, regarding the proportion of international students, 26.5 international students per 100 students, compared to the global median of 8.8. Second, the faculty-to-student ratio, which is 10.7 faculty members per 100 students, above the median of 7.7, both of which are outstanding results for the university. The indicator of PTE’s international research network also exceeds the global median.
