The latest university rankings were published on Tuesday evening by London-based Quacquarelli Symonds. The list of the world's best higher education institutions again includes the University of Pécs, which is Hungary's first university, ranked 771–780th instead of the previous year's 801- to 85th. In addition, PTE is the best among Hungarian universities in the category "learning experience"!
Since 2004, the experts at Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) have compiled an annual ranking of the world's universities, comparing universities on nine criteria. The ranking was based on data from around 5,700 higher education institutions, of which 1,503 universities were ranked.
Attila Miseta, the Rector of the University of Pécs, said about the latest international ranking: "It is definitely positive that UP has improved
in eight of the nine aspects examined by the company compared to last year.
I am also pleased that our university was the strongest in the student experience category in Hungary, and the second strongest in the international student ratio in the country", said the Rector.
The University of Pécs has made significant progress compared to last year in four categories: two different indicators measuring reputation, the international research network and sustainability.
