International Associations

The University of Pecs is an active member of various regional and international organisations. Below you find a list of these organisations.

EDUC - European Digital UniverCity

The six partners of EDUC create a truly integrated European University with students, researchers and administrative staff who learn, impart and work at universities differing in size, age, native languages and focus. Using modern digital tools and face-to-face collaboration, we form a strong triangle of shared knowledge and academic values between Western, Central and Southern Europe, developing strong ties between local environments to tackle global challenges of the 21st century.

European University Foundation

The stakeholders of the European University Foundation are its founding universities, who convene annually at the Council of Rectors meeting (General Assembly). The General Assembly has the broadest powers to manage the Foundation’s activities and to undertake any acts in the interest and within the purpose of the Foundation. Each founding university has one vote in the General Assembly. The General Assembly appoints the Steering Committee members, who work in close cooperation with the Executive Manager in overseeing the functioning and development of the EUF.

This network of Higher Education institutions was founded in 1993 at the University of Santiago de Compostela. UNeECC

The University Network of European Capitals of Culture (UNEECC) is an international non-profit association, founded in Pécs Hungary in December 2006 by 40 founding members.
