Do you have research results about the Danube region that you would like to share? Or would you just like to express your thoughts and learn from experts? What are the strength and weakness of the region? What is the future ahead? Register if you are interested in the region's political, economic, historical and social processes - discover our workshops and present your idea and research. In addition, enjoy the gorgeous city, Pécs and the social programs including wine-tasting and excursions!
Each year, the DRC Summer School is hosted by a different university and therefore offers a variety of settings. We are looking for young BA, MA and Phd level scientist from Social, Human and Political Sciences, who are interested in the region, have scientific records or intend to have deeper knowledge about the Danube Region.
The 2017 edition of the DRC Summer School, titled 'New Borders Between Old Neighbours – Return Of History In The Danube Region?' will focus on the recent challenges of the Danube Region, Central and Eastern Europe. Borders are coming back, reflecting on a historical period with a divided region.
Register if you are interested in the region's political, economic, historical and social processes - discover our workshops and present your idea and research. With the help of highly skilled speakers and experienced workshop leaders, through a compelling mixture of debate, workshop presentations and lectures, you’ll learn all about the recent means of the Danube Region. Every edition of the DRC Summer School is a unique experience. The topics are selected in relation to current and historical events, offering a broad variety for social scientists.
A field trip complements theory and brings perspectives outside of the seminar room to the group. Furthermore, during our social programmes you will experience the vibrant atmosphere of this year’s host city, Pécs.
