17.00: Photo exhibition by Bijoy Mishra with inauguration – Inaugurated by T.P.S. Rawat, Director, Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre & Bharatanatyam by Ms Kassiyet

Bijoy Mishra is a businessman and an avid photographer. His lifelong passion for photography has taken him through many landscapes and backdrops, with people of varied customs and cultures, since his first trip around the world in 1968. He has lived with his family in Mumbai since 1979, after receiving his higher education in California and working in the USA for 15 years.
He self-publised a book on his travel photography in March 2012, which included some images dating back to early 60’s and the days of box cameras. The book was awarded second place in the category of self-published books in a Juried Competition, held by IPA (International Photography Awards) in Los Angeles. Mishra has successfully held exhibitions in Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar and Budapest, each titled “Journey through my Lens”, which have been overwhelmingly well received.
